From Pixels to Spatial Intelligence: Building Next-Gen Apps with Android XR and Edge AI
Modern Android XR applications go beyond static visualization by using interactive 3D models that respond to user context. This session covers how to build and optimize 3D assets for Android XR and explores runtime techniques like object recognition, spatial anchoring, and gesture interactions to guide users through workflows such as assembly, maintenance, and training scenarios.
The second part focuses on integrating AI into these XR environments. We’ll look at how to build or adapt AI models and feed them with domain-specific content like manuals or training data. This enables systems that assist users in real time—answering questions, providing step-by-step guidance, and adapting to user actions using multimodal inputs like voice and gestures.
Finally, we’ll connect these concepts to real-world use cases and architecture. From industrial training to immersive education, combining XR with AI creates scalable and practical solutions.
