iOS Engineer - Accessibility @ Spotify

Dani has his dream job as an iOS Engineer on Spotify’s Accessibility team. He has previously loved working at Skyscanner or the BBC, where he learned a ton about how to make iOS apps more accessible. Accessibility Nutrition Labels: How to Test, Evaluate, and Stand Out on the App Store
Apple’s Accessibility Nutrition Labels bring something new to the App Store: a public way to declare how accessible your app really is, and a chance to differentiate your product.
Nutrition labels aren’t about certifying every detail of every feature. Instead, they focus on the areas that have the greatest impact for users. They’re a meaningful step towards broader accessibility conformance, and deliver real value on their own.
In this workshop, we’ll introduce Apple’s Accessibility Nutrition Labels, what they mean for your users, how they support your business goals, and how they differ from accessibility compliance approaches you may already use.
We’ll get hands-on with an example iOS app to explore how to evaluate your app against Apple’s criteria, identify common grey areas, and make confident decisions about what to declare.
You’ll leave with a clear approach to assessing your app, aligning your team, and publishing Accessibility Nutrition Labels with confidence.
