React Navigation 8: Building a modern navigation library - the hard parts
In this talk, I'll showcase React Navigation 8 and cover various considerations and challenges of building it for a modern audience, including:
- Decisions behind building the Static API
- Choosing native vs custom primitives
- Building a type-safe API that works with complex navigation trees
- Working with React features - startTransition, Activity, etc.
- Differences in concepts when working on cross-platform code
