Over the past 12 years at Square I have investigated hundreds of Android app production crashes and performance regressions. Debugging Android production issues is hard, but there is a method to the madness. In this session, I will share practical tips & a structured approach to tackling these problems. I will walk you through some of the most outrageous bugs I have encountered (including one involving a fridge, a goat, the linux kernel, and a hair dryer), and highlight not just my process but the technical insights I gained along the way.
