Founding Partner, L+R

Alex Levin is an American entrepreneur, strategist, and designer. As the Founding Partner of L+R, a global technology design and strategy firm, he leads interdisciplinary teams of designers, engineers, and strategy consultants helping organizations integrate emerging technologies. L+R's work in mobile app development has earned accolades from the Red Dot Design Awards, Webby Awards, and other industry honors. Since founding L+R after graduating from Parsons School of Design, Levin has driven the firm’s mobile-focused consulting practice and its luxury-oriented business unit, Liquid Crystal. He has collaborated with clients like Amazon Web Services, Google, Hilton Worldwide, Louis Vuitton, and the Estée Lauder Companies to deliver innovative mobile solutions. His expertise lies in leveraging emerging technologies to craft intuitive, high-impact apps for iOS, Android, and spatial computing platforms. In 2017, the team at L+R developed LookSee, an iOS mobile VR prototyping app that was later adapted for a Louis Vuitton in-store experience. By 2018, while collaborating with AWS, Levin led the creation of SeeLook—a 3D and AR mobile app for both iOS and Android powered by Amazon Sumerian—enabling brands to engage users through immersive experiences. In 2024, Meta and the L+R team published Media View: an open-source, 100% Kotlin-built app for Meta Quest that's available on the Horizon OS store. L+R continues to partner with Meta to empower mobile app designers in the spatial computing landscape, leveraging expertise in native development and Flutter to bridge the gap between traditional mobile and XR environments. Beyond L+R, Levin founded Meridian, a global meetup community for mobile designers and developers exploring spatial computing, with chapters in Barcelona, Accra, Brooklyn, and more. He serves on the Parsons Alumni Committee Board, mentors at XRC Labs, advises the Ad Council, and is an alum of the Luxury Education Foundation. In 2019, he was named to Forbes 30 Under 30.
